All routes to Coward Springs include sections of unsealed road, as follows:
Lynhurst to Coward Springs - 212km
Roxby Downs to Coward Springs - 216km
Coober Pedy to Coward Springs - 236km
These 'dirt tracks' are well-maintained roads, easily travelled by 4WD vehicle. The track is also usually accessible to camper-trailers, caravans and conventional 2WD vehicles. However road conditions do vary so check before travelling into remote areas by calling:

Travelling the Stuart Highway?
Consider:
- adding a loop (Roxby Downs to Coober Pedy) to include Coward Springs and Lake Eyre
- taking a detour via the Oodnadatta Track on your way to Alice Springs or Coober Pedy.
